I read these words
not long after I had to let my Chance leave this
world. While there is more to the poem the words
above resonated loudly with me and continues to
resonate even with the years that have passed. Adding new members to your family does
not replace the one you let go but rather it honors
their memory. What you have learned from them you will take forward with your next
companion.
One of the hardest
times for a pet owner is the loss of their
pet/companion/friend. How many times have I heard
"it's just a dog". When I hear those
words I know that particular person has never
experienced the relationship we have and I can feel
sorry for them.
I hope I can bring
some comfort by providing a place for storing your
memories. While we know we don't feel your pain, it
is completely unique to you, we have experienced
our own so we understand. I hesitate to call
them urns and memory box seems a benign statement
for the depth of emotion contained within. The term
"End of Watch", even though associated with K9
units is such a fitting phrase I could use no
other. Whether a K9 or your 2lb companion their
'watch' is done, it is now your job.
Working with clay it
is only natural to make these memorials from the
earth and tested by the fire. They fill a need to
be able to touch something enduring just as your
memories are enduring.
Below are examples of
some memory boxes. All boxes can be ordered and personalized
to your request. Special orders and personalizations can take
4-6 weeks to complete.
